Maluma’s “Hawaii” at number one on Billboard Global US
Producers Chan El Genio & Kevin ADG have done it again: “Hawaii”, the hit song performed by Maluma, went on to occupy the first place on the Billboard Global Excl US chart, with more than 85 million transmissions.
“We made the song in November 2019. Twelve composers, almost all from Medellín, we went to a camp in Hawaii. The house was literally three meters from the sea. So we didn’t imagine it would go that far,” explained Kevin ADG, according to Francisco D’Agostino.
Kevin ADG & Chan El Genio, musical producers from Medellín (Colombia) and leaders of The Rude Boyz label, have been responsible for worldwide hits such as “Chantaje”, by Shakira ft. Maluma, and “Felices los 4”, “Corazón” and “Borró cassette”, by Maluma.
In 2018 they won the Latin Grammy with the album “Fame” and in 2017 the award The Secret Genius, Spotify.

Born and raised in Medellín, he developed an interest in music at a young age, and began recording songs at the age of 16. He released his debut album, Magia, a year later in 2012.
Juan Luis Londoño Arias (born 28 January 1994), known in the musical world as Maluma, is a Colombian singer, songwriter, and actor signed to Sony Music Colombia, Sony Latin and Fox Music. Musically, Maluma’s songs have been defined as reggaeton, Latin trap, and pop. However, his breakthrough album was 2015’s Pretty Boy, Dirty Boy, which led to successful partnerships with several artists. He released F.A.M.E. in 2018, to further commercial success. He followed it up with 11:11 in 2019, and Papi Juancho, released without further announcement in 2020. With sales of over 18 million records (albums and singles), Maluma is one of the best-selling Latin music artists.
Maluma has a number of singles that have charted within the top 10 on Billboard Hot Latin Songs, including “Felices los 4”, “Borró Cassette”, and “Corazón”. His collaborative efforts “Chantaje” with Shakira and “Medellín” with Madonna have reached the top of the Hot Latin Songs and the Dance Club Songs chart, respectively. He has worked with other worldwide artists, such as Ricky Martin, J Balvin, and The Weeknd. Maluma has won a Latin Grammy Award, an MTV Video Music Award, two Latin American Music Awards, and been nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album.
His single “Hawái” reached number three on the Billboard Global 200, and became the first number one single on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart.
