Naukuchiatal

Nainital is a very popular and hence crowded tourist destination. So it is a great idea to give this place a miss and visit Naukuchiatal instead. The name of this place actually means the ‘lake of nine corners’ and it is one of the best kept secret destinations of Uttarakhand. Here, the lake is almost 175 feet deep and the hill station is surrounded by greeneries. Also it is a quiet and calm place where one can relax for a few days.

Rewalsar

This is a very less explored town situated in Himachal Pradesh. It is high time to give break to Shimla and Manali to visit this place. It has a scenic lake and quaint cafes. One can stroll in the winding roads and spend a peaceful holiday here.

Kotagiri

This summer pick the splendid Kotagiri instead of popular destinations like Munnar and Ooty. This place has a cool climate and one can go for trekking and try rock climbing. Also there are many tea plantations here which one can visit. The natural waterfalls and the valleys and hills surrounding this place make Kotagiri a blissful experience to the travellers.

Kurseong

Kurseong is a very small and quiet hill station located about 30 kilometres from Darjeeling and one can reach here by car or by a toy train. This place is beautiful as it has full of white orchids. This place is also termed as a haunted hill station. So, for those who have fancy for haunted places must visit this.

Tawang

This is also a very least explored place in India located in the state of Arunachal Pradesh. This place is also not very easy to reach. Here the temperature is quite low in summers as well. But people do visit here to see the famous Tawang Monastery and the Jang Waterfall.

Chembra Peak

Located in the Wayanad district of Kerala, this peak is 6900 feet high and it is in the lush lap of the Western Ghats. For those who love to go to treks, this can be a perfect destination. But to reach the peak one needs permission passes from the Forest Department. To reach this peak, one crosses a heart shaped lake named Hridaya Saras.
